Small Pet Feeders specializes in high variety high quality feeders. We aren't reptile breeders, frog breeders, llama breeders, heck we're not even unicorn breeders (bet they make tons of money these days). We work everyday towards finding new, better feeders for your reptiles, beyond the usual crickets and superworms (which we also offer). When you call us or email us and would like to know the best diet variety for your pet, we're only too glad to help you find some new, interesting insects and worms to feed your pets. We intentionally carry a high variety of several feeders at several different sizes, shapes, and nutritional values, thus covering every nutrition base for any size animal that you may keep. We truly care what feeders are best for your animal, a byproduct of being founded by a nationally certified and state licensed massage therapist with a built-in desire to help people and animals alike live and feel better. To put it simply, we're here to help your pet's growth by giving you a large variety of different insects, worms, larvae, flies, caterpillars roaches, and other organisms to feed your exotic pet from the day it hatches all the way through juvenile, subadult, and adulthood.

Many of our insects are not grown by us, and are actually grown by the TOP FARM in the country for that specific insect. For many sensitive insects that can contract an array of different health problems throughout their breeding and raising, like Hornworms and Silkworms, we choose to have these insects grown by people who have been doing it for years and do so in USDA Approved environments, in lieu of growing them ourselves for maximum profit.

Very high in moisture and calcium, Hornworms are excellent feeders for all kinds of exotic pets and reptiles, especially those from arboreal or desert environments who usually have a hard time receiving proper moisture. Our attractive teal-colored hornworms are great for breaking hunger strikes and amusing normally picky eaters. Small Pet Feeders stocks only the highest quality Hornworm Pods, which are already assembled directly from the top farm in the country, and then held at 50-55 degrees Fahrenheit until they leave our facility for your front door.

You may have noticed hornworms on either tobacco or tomato plants in the wild. While these are the same species you'll be receiving, they are fed an etirely different diet of a highly nutritious wheat germ based insect chow that lines the bottoms of our high quality self contained habitats called "Pods".

Each Hornworm Pod comes with an amount of food, determined by the size of hornworms contained, and either 25 Small or 12-15 Medium/Large (depending on size) Hornworms that will be crawling on a small strip of black plastic netting embedded in the food. The Pods are typically kept inverted so the food is kept clean at the top while the frass (droppings) fall to the lid for easy cleanup.
