Exclamation Ball Python drank water and then threw up bloody water.

I need help. I am very very worried. My son took his ball python out of it's enclosure after refilling its water bowl and the snake drinking. He was holding the snake and the snake threw up bloody water. The snake has not seemed to have any other symptoms. It has been about two weeks since he has eaten.

Has anyone ever experienced this before this before or have any advice. I know that taking him to the vet would be the #1 advice...but if there is any other advice or info...I would be super grateful!

Judging from the lack of replies, it looks like this is a very unusual situation. I think the only advice you will get is to seek out a vet's assistance. I have never heard of anything like this occurring and can't imagine what would cause a snake to regurge bloody water other than possibly trauma or some other source of internal damage. Good luck.

They got a few replies on this thread but nothing conclusive and they have never come back to reply.
