How old? Hatchlings will be quick to strike when they are small. You probably look like a big predator to him/her. Also, you mentioned after 3 days? Did you just get the BP? If so, let it settle in for at least a week before handling. Another thing, does your terrarium have ample places for the snake to hide? Maybe it is stressed?

That's just her being scared. Just pick her up swiftly and steadily, let her sit in your hand for like 5 minutes at a time.

If she did bite you, it wouldn't be a big deal. Even an adult ball can't do much damage when they bite. You don't really mention how big/old your snake is, nor how long you have had it. From what information you provide, she is either stressed out and scared, or possibly still hungry if you are not feeding her enough.

You can help us to help you by providing some more information. How big/old is your ball ? How long have you had it ? Has this ever happened before ? What is her enclosure like? Does she have places to hide? What do you feed her and how often?

It looks like you have a piece of flexwatt attached to either side of the glass (front and back), but nothing else covering the glass to provide the snake security. For terrariums, many suggest covering the back and sides of the glass with heavy construction paper (dark color) or some other dark covering. This makes the enclosure seem less open to the snake and will lesson that stress factor. Only leave the front open for viewing. Are your temps ok? Do you have a hot and cool side to let your bp regulate it's body temperature?

Understood, was just a communication error on my part I would just look into stress factors and what may be causing them. Once that is remedied, your bp should settle down some. As was also suggested, just give your bp a tap (nothing hard) to get it out of the strike mode and then pick it right up. It will most likely settle right down once it realizes it is not in danger. Good luck!

Give that a try to see if you notice any improvement. Other than that, just give her a quick tap to get her out of strike mode and pick her up.
