So I got up a little bit ago to check Hissy's temps & humidity & what did i see on the warm side?? It read 33 DEGREES!!! Well, instantly I panicked & just started flippin out. I looked & the extension chord was a little loose so I was losing it. Just as I was ready to pull her outta the tank & run her under some warm water, I realized that i am an IDIOT! Somewhere during the day when i was taking her out for a soak & sliding her one hide back into place, I accidentally clicked the temp gauge to celcius! Looking back on it now it totally would not have made sense, even if the heat WAS turned off, for the tank to drop below 70 degrees let alone get all the way down to 33, but the initial panick was enough to send my heart into overdrive! What a dumba$$ I feel like now! LOL!!
Life is like a game of poker. You can play each hand to the best of your ability but you are still going to run into a bad beat from time to time. What matters is how you handle it. Do you go on tilt or can you maintain your composure & rebuild your stack?

That'd make most of us panic! I flip out when humidity goes below 45%, lol.

Hehe....thanks for sharing, Eddie! I'm sure we all have moments like that from time to time. It's good to know I'm not alone, sometimes.

Heheheh good one. We need to finally let go of fractions and maybe think about getting on a global scale of measurement heh - our occasional encounters with metric still quake us to the bones.

I had a scare over the weekend also. I tried adjusting the hot spot in my Sumatrans cage, everything looked cool, left the house for the day, came home and it shot up to 106 degrees, needless to say he was NOT in his hot hide but wrather spilled his water no doubt cooling off.I got everything back to normal as quickly as is humanly possible. This happened Friday night, its Monday, and Im still worried.
