    100% het pieds?

So I'm thinking of picking up a breeding ready pair of 100% het pieds. I want a visual but don't have the money and I want to try and make one so once everything is set that's a pair I'm getting. Who's had successes breeding two hets and getting a visual?

Last year I bred 100% het lavender albinos and got 5 eggs, with one visual male.

    Re: 100% het pieds?

I've been through this dilemma recently and came to the realization that a breeder ready het female is pretty close price wise as a visual. I went with the visual.

Good point. It's really only cheaper if you raise up the pair yourself.

And also, I got 1 visual from 5 eggs last year. I got no visuals from 4 eggs this year. That's a lot of 66% possible hets. I've only managed to sell half of them so far.

I see your also from Minnesota, check out ELF reptiles he's in Minny also. I know he just hatched out a couple of Pied's and I'm sure he'll work with you on price and such.

    Re: 100% het pieds?

I got a ringer male who came from two normal 100% het pied parents. Out of the 5 eggs there were two normals, one ringer, and two visual pieds. It might just be hit or miss.
