So I have 3 BP's all approximately the same age 4-5 mo. All from different clutches/breeders. All of them kept same temps & humidity & misted during the shedding precess. 2 of them have shed perfectly every time within a day or two of their eyes clearing up. The third one had never had a good shed. Its skin it just different even after soaking her the skin is still dry like it repels water.
This month they all were in the blue at the same time the problem one starting a day or two before the others. Last week wed/thurs the two good shedders, shed perfectly. The problem shedder is still completely covered, hasnt even begun to get any skin off. I have been soaking her daily for about a half hour or so with no luck. she has spots along her stomach where you can see the skin is loose but like I said her skin repels water so even after soaking her skin is still dry.
So, do some snakes just have a lifetime of bad shedding? Is it something that she might just grow out of? Any suggestions? I also do raise the humidity when I notice they go into blue.
