    Price of lavender albinos?

    Hello,

I have a 50% pos het lavender albino male, one of my first bps. I'd love to see if he proves out, but I am having trouble finding pricing on females that carry the gene.

Can anyone tell me the price range for het possibles and percentages on females? I definitely don't have the budget to just get a lavender albino female, but the 100% hets I've been seeing have been in the 1k range, and that's a bit too much since I just shelled out 1k on some '12 hatchlings.

And what would be the best bet with the male? Go for a lower percentage just to see, or pay extra for a definite 100% get female and just hope the male does prove out?

I just quickly checked Kingsnake and saw a few ads where a female 100% het lavender albino had a price tag of $400-$500 (around hatchling size). They were listed today too, so you may be in luck if interested.

I would get the 100% het if anything, but remember, even if your boy is 100% het, you can still miss the odds and it could take multiple breedings to prove him out. Good luck!

You could probably get a pair for the 400-500 range. Unfortunately male hets dont go for allot.

Unfortunately your male is not worth breeding to a 100% Het Lav female...You could just be breeding a Normal to her and a 100% Het Lav Female is more valuable than that!!!

You can most likely get a free 100% Het Lav male with the purchase of a female.
