Why do I like honeybees?
So I told myself I would never own a spider or spider gene just because of their neuro quirks. Not because I don't think they are pretty or because I think they have quality of life issues. It's just something I didn't want in my personal collection. So...why am I so drawn to honeybees? I have started to really love the hypo gene. I was just curious if anyone else has stayed away from certain morphs for whatever reason and then started to like them. I just like the way they look. Lol sorry for the rant folks, I just don't understand myself sometimes.

For the same reasons I did not want a spider either until I saw honeybee's at the local expo. IMO It's really the hypo gene that you and I like about it. If the same snake didn't have that awesome hypomelanistic gene it would be 10 fold less attractive to me. That being said some morphs just show off that hypo gene a lot better than others, like the honey bee.

Re: Why do I like honeybees?
There are a lot of morphs I didn't like at first. Cinnamons, Enchis, Pinstripes.. I didn't think I'd ever say 'I want one of those' But now I desperately want them plus all the others!

Have never wanted an albino and still don't want one. As of right now the only thing that my collection is missing is a pied. I liked spiders when I first got into morphs, but then heard about the neuro issues and swore that I'd never get one. Once I saw some in person and never saw a wobble myself I said screw it and decided to get one. I have a female that is 50% het VPI axanthic that I've had for about a year and a half now and by next year she should ready to get paired with my VPI axanthic male. I will be saving a male spider if I produce any to put with my female hypo and will then begin woring towards my own honeybee. They are incredibly beautiful!
