Stuck Shed

I have a baby ball python. Temps 80-90 degrees, humidity 80%. He's always had trouble shedding his head and this time he retained his shed on his head, eyecaps and all. What can I do about it? I have put a shedding aid on it and tried soaking him for an hour. I've also tried rubbing it with a wet washcloth.

I'd put him in a damp pillowcase and tie it shut for an hour or so. Just make sure it can let air pass through.

How are you measuring humidity? If your humidity is right...you shouldn't have a stuck shed so it seems odd that you do. Because it's just on his head, does he have enough things in his cage/tub to rub on to help loosen the skin?

He has his hide and a waterdish to rub on, plus the textured sides of his tub to rub on. Is this enough? I didn't think it might not be enough, but there's no more room for anything else. I tried the pillowcase method and couldn't find any evidence of a shed. Is this going to be retained until his next full shed? Is that safe?

Maybe some cork bark, mopani wood, or a rock and a second hygrometer also.

I second this.

Double-checking on that humidity wouldn't be a bad idea either.
