ball python wont eat
ihad my ball python over a year and this is her/his first time not been eatting for a whole month and im starting to wonder....my snake is active,alertness is good ,has heat mat,water,hidebox...always want 2 get out a nite and jus wander around but my snake wont eat last feeding was OCT-3-2012.,,,help/advice

Has anything about the habitat or temps changed?
If no, don't worry about it. If yes, fix it. They can go months and months on hunger strikes and be fine.

temperature in the cage is at 84 degrees

84ºF what part?
Ideally you should have;
90ºF warm side surface,
80ºF cool side surface
77-85º ambient air temps.

on the warm side... and another question is it common for ball pythons to go into shed without eatting for a month?

Ball pythons can still grow even if they are not eating. If nothing has changed there is not much to worry about unless the weight starts dropping or you see some other health issue pop up. Being cold blooded they don't use as much energy as a mammal so missing meals isn't as detrimental.

The most likely cause is incorrect temps if you warm side is 84 I would guess your ambient temps are cool and the cool side is also cold. It is most likely if you correct the temps the snake will eat. temps that are too cool (or warm for that matter) the animal cannot correctly digest so typically they will not eat either.
