    Getting Over the Heebie-Jeebies

Okay, I hope this is the right forum for this, because I'm trilled to death and none of my friends in the real world would be at all excited by it. Quite the contrary, actually. Y'all, I just had to share that I fed my snakes (1.1 5-and 4-month old Kenyan sand boas) tonight and didn't shriek even once! I know it's a totally pansy-esque thing to be excited about, but this was our third feeding time and the first I was able to handle solely on my own. I even did the zombie mouse dance successfully! I'm so psyched.

Granted, the female wouldn't eat because she's in shed, but the male (who's usually a problem eater) ate two pinkies.

And since I can now feed snakes by myself without my husband playing Zombie Mouse Whisperer, this means I can bring more into the house free from worry that I'll be inconveniencing him

Chalk this one up as proof that even someone who's been indoctrinated to think it's Just Awful to feed snakes can successfully get over it. Whew Now to think more about where I'm going to put that ball python enclosure...

Thanks I know I'm a huge dork, but we have to take our victories where we can find them.
