this is my first post here, and I wish it wasnt this question.
My BP is starting to look bloated twords his tail, and when I rub my thumb on his belly in that aria I can feel gass bubbles.
we have had him since the first of jan. he's only pooped an extreamly small ammount since we have had him and that was about a week ago in the tub.
he didnt eat for us till the first of feb and even then up till a week and a half ago the meals were too small for him(fuzzy mice then a couple of adult mice). last week and this week he was fed a sm rat. it's now been two days since this weeks feeding.
should I be concerned that he may be getting constipated? or is he just getting ready to poop?

bloated, constipated?
He's probably just getting ready to let it go. Another bath might be just the trick.

Oops...in case that wasn't a bath and he was just hanging out in the dry tub while you cleaned his tank or something...then try giving him a warm bath! LOL Just enough water for him to lie in without his face going under water...and just warm enough so that it doesn't feel cold to your touch. What feels "warm" to us is usually too hot for the snake.
And WELCOME to the forums! I'm a bit scatter brained tonight....forgive me!

ok scrap that post. right after posting it he took a poop. it looked to be like a big cat poop or 1 1/2 regular cat poops. would that be about normal?

LOL! Perfectly normal. He was probably just waiting until your worry grew enough to take it public...then he let go for ya!

If it happens again, my vet always told me just to try and milk it out of them. It works for me, that is if a warm bath doesn't do the trick

"snake-warm" baths will pretty much induce a bowel movement every time if the snake has eaten a few times since it last went.
for some reason, amber only defecates when she sheds. Done that the last 3 times, and actually, literally, saw her do it in the water bowl as she started to squirm out of her old skin. I don't know if any of you have actually seen your snake shed as it happens, but it does not look like something they enjoy at all...

I havent seen mine shed, but had to help with this last one(bad shed)
I cant imagine what it would be like to have to peel the skin off your own body.
Also thanx for the welcome . I am sorry for the stupid premature question, but my last 2 BP's were purchased from the flea market and died shortly there after. first one died next day(unknown causes) second one(replacement from same seller) died of RI and mouth infection after nearly $300 in vet bills.
with this one we got smart and purchased from Petland, but every thing he does makes me parinoid.

Welcome to the forum. Your question wasn't all that premature just a worried parent. Petland might not have been the best chocie but if hes healthy and happy no worries. I am not to fond of petland, the one down here is pretty nasty. Maybe differant where your at. Good luck with you Bp. Would love to see some pic when you get a chance.
What would life be without my ball pythons and my beardie.
