So how long does the female need to rest before pairing again?

I am just wondering. I don't plan to start pairing until the middle of spring. But my female who laid the clutch that is in the incubator now, who are finally sticking their little cute heads out of the eggs, was around 1200 to 1500 grams after she laid in September. As of yesterday her weight was sitting just over 2000 grams, Maybe more, couldn't get her to ball up and sit in the scale, she kept crawling out. The little stinker. lol. So I except her to be closer to 2500 to 3000 grams by the spring if she keeps eating like she is. So what is the normal break that people give females? 6 months? Or does it depend on the weight and how fast they get back to breeding size? I hope that since she laid in September this year that she will follow that pattern next year, which is why I plan to start pairing in the spring. Thanks for any input.

It sounds like you have a plan. Her body condition will tell you when she's ready again, not just weight. Mine seem to go at about the same time each year.
