    is it ok?

    I ordered flexwatt heat tape that hasnt arrived yet. Is it ok to use a UTH on a plastic tub with the cover still on the sticky side instead of permently attaching it to the tub? Thank you for the help

    Yes, it is, as long as you use a thermostat. I usually recommend that my customers not pull the cover off the sticky side so they can transfer the UTH when they upgrade tanks/tubs.

    or you can rip the paper off and stick foil on the sticky side instead. transfers heat a little better i would think
