"Is it time for my close-up?"

Pauliocho is going into his 2nd shed in a month. He has only eaten 2 mice since the last one on March 24th. Is this normal. He's 1.5 years old and about 3.5 feet in length. His belly is going pink and his belly scales are starting to get the wrinkle action going on. Anyone ever dealt with something like this?

From what I have read and learned in the forums here it's perfectly normal. Growing BPs need new better fitting skin so I wouldn't be worried as long as you're sure his belly isn't pink from burn marks (I'm sure it's not) you have nothing to worry about

Hmmm...sounds like he could be stressed. How much do you handle him and does he like it? How are the temps and humidity? When was the last time you took him for a vet check up? The wrinkle action is most defenitely a humidity issue. Experienced users will shed more light hopefully.

do his eyes look dented? If so that is a pretty good sign of dehydration. Something you can do if you believe your snake is dehydrated is soak in water and add about a cup of pedialyte or gatorade to get some electrolytes in him/her. More experienced people will know more - as the wise Raj has stated.

his last vet visit was about a month ago, i handle him everyday, cept for 2 days after he eats, and he does seem to enjoy it, he peeks out of whatever hide he is in when i open the cage. Humidity is fine, betweek 45 and 55 when not in shed, up it to about 70ish when in shed. could be due to prior owners husbandry, bp was a bit skinny when we got him.

Bump the humidity up to about 80percent until he is done shedding and see if that helps. I'm concerned cause he is almost a full grown adult and should not be shedding every two weeks. Thanks for the compliment Jonah. You know what they say about like minds

Eyes aren't dented, he gets a weekly soak plus all the fresh water that he can handle, I am getting his "humid hide" together. I've tried the rubbermaid container with hole and moss, he doesn't like that. I use a big bowl filled with water and put his half log over it, he loves it. I am as confused as anybody when it comes to this....
