    Growth question?

What are some feeding programs you guys use to put weight on females quickly. I know about feeding rats, but how often or how many rats at one feeding to gain size quickly, without putting the snake at risk.
    Thanks, Justin

My girls get an appropriate sized rat once a week.

It's not a good idea to power feed. They all grow at their own rate.

This ^ X2. Mine only get appropriate sized meals once a week. Unless its babies, then they are on 5 day schedule. And I tell you what, my enchi will let me know when day 5 is without checking. He's like clockwork, out cruising his tub. But yeah, my bee is at 1422 grams, and I have a male at 2000 something, and the only eat a small to medium rat weekly.

Im with the two above me once a week. i try to feed 15% but it doesn't always happen. I have some that will eat 2 rats at one sitting others that will only eat one. All my snakes grow amazing this way. My female albino was 196 grams when i got her at the Nov 2011 white plains show, now almost a year later shes weight in at 1195 grams empty, on a once a week feeding( and she is not power fed since she will only eat one rat on feeding days).

I feed 2 times a week if I have enough to pass around if not they get one.
My females average about 70 to 80 grams a month at in weight gain at a year old with some gaining more and some gaining less depending on how consistently they take their two meals.

Growth rate really depends on the snake. Everyone is different.
I have 4 late 2011 girls all born within a month of each other. The oldest is the smallest(500g) and the youngest is the largest (1400 g).
They are all on the same feeding schedules and haven't missed a meal. The largest is just a weed and has a very aggressive feeding response.

I have all my hatchlings on 4 day feeding schedules. Once they hit 500 grams, they are bumped to a 7 day feeding schedule.
My adults are fed every 7-10 days. I feed the appropriately sized food. I don't weight my rats. I just eyeball the size of rat to the snake's mid-section.
But all my adults, regardless of size, are fed small rats. I feed live, so it's just safer for the snakes if I feed multiple smalls than one large rat.

I feed every 3-4 days if I need to put weight on any snake. They will stop eating if it gets to be too much.
