bag of balls?
I did a search but didn't find what I was looking for? I was wondering where I would go to buy a bag of imported ball pythons? Can you tell me a little about the process? Bad idea? Anything? I read about it on a post here and YouTube and was just curious. Thanks!

I don't really see the point, by the time they get to the general public they've been picked through numerous times. There is an abundance of captive bred/hatched BP's available I just don't see it being worth it.

Re: bag of balls?
Check fauna and kingsnake in late April/early May, you'll find them then.

This x2. I see them on Kingsnake.com and once in awhile I see imports at some of the shows

personally i love ball pythons too much to buy imported snakes like that, especially in a big bag, say i did find some cool new snake that is worth thousands of dollars then what ? we have one more gene in this massive pool and a hundred less snakes in the wild they are already endangered in the wild and i do not love money enough to gamble with my favorite herps survival in the wild,
sorry dont want to seem pessimistic but just my thoughts if you really love them would you risk their survival for a lottery ticket bag of balls ?

It's not a bad idea but not a good one either. Animals that are wild caught in general are riddles with parasites and are generally unhealthy. There are plenty of awesome captive bred ball pythons to choose from anyways

While they aren't endangered they are being collected at an alarming rate. Of we stop collecting when they become endangered then it would be pretty much too late for the species. It would be difficult to stop the locals from collecting them ect. Taking so many animals will also shrink the amount of genetic diversity in the wild which is crucial for te survival as a species. Without genetic variation, one strain of virus or bacteria, or climate change can wipe out the species. While the ball pythons are not at that stage yet, it's better to just stop fueling the trade now than later IMO.
