my first ball python.. just a pastel?

This is my first ball python. I bred mostly corns and kings now Im going to start with BP's Just picked up this guy a few days ago. My good friend who owns a pet store breeds all the animals there himself and had 4 baby pastels left. 2 were the brightest, one being high yellow and this guy. This one stood out to me the most because of his markings. Is he just a pastel or does he have any other morph in him? My friend said he could have some Mojave markings in him from one of his parents. What do you guys think? Thanks. Probably going to get a Spider next to make some Bumblebees when they grow up.

There can be some similarities to a mojave in a pastel but unless it is a mojave pastel aka pastave then it has no mojave genetics in it.

It looks like a single gene pastel

I agree that it looks like a single gene pastel. But, it is a nice one! Congratulations, let us know when you get your next one. No one can stop at just one!

Re: my first ball python.. just a pastel?

Thanks guys. Yea i figured that. The other clutch mate was very yellow-orange, would be great for breeding but i really liked the pattern on this guy. I found out that he was bred from a normal pastel to a pastave. So i know its just a pastel now but the markings are unlike any of the siblings which makes him neat. Thanks for your input.
