Why are people so SENSITIVE on this forum?
If you don't like what us NOOBS ask...why come in with slick comments and when we decide to address it, we either get a warning, get rep points deducted, or the forum vets come in WITH NEGATIVE FEED BACK? Is the internet that serious? I like the forum, but this is not the only helpful forum out there. Let us New people ask questions without all that nasty feed back and slick comments. We aren't vets like you when it comes to snakes. Get out of the house and breath people. Thanks

and i'm sure...i will get a warning or something slick...let's sit back and wait.

First, people are passionate and showing a lack of compassion or insensitivity towards others or animals (even feeders) can be viewed as giving fodder to the anti-reptile groups. Second, most new people take some time to get to know the forum and who the people are. Yes, there are some who jump in but most people new to any forum usually read enough posts to learn what is acceptable and what is not acceptable on a forum. Perhaps you jumped in and were a little insensitive and started with your own negative feedback before learning the best way to use that function?
I don't know anyone here who would not help if they knew the answer to a question. Respect (and positive feedback) comes from showing respect and treating this place like you are a guest. After all, we are all guests in the forum owner's house. I would not walk into someone's home and make a comment like you just posted. Maybe you could rethink how you approach this place instead of insisting that "vets" change to suit your needs.

It's the internet. Most people ARE jerks and socially conform in other situations. We come here to tell it how it is.

I have heard of and been part of online communities that are MUCH less cuddly-care-bear.
I'm not saying people are justified in being jerks on the internet. Just stating what I have observed.

Re: Why are people so SENSITIVE on this forum?
Well, if you are speaking in regards to your previous thread about watching snakes feed on live prey then you should realize why people reacted the way they did. I beg to differ, this is one of the best forums that I have ever belonged to. You can't just come on here and tell people to go away, especially not the respected veterans that have earned respect from being so helpful in this community.
Perhaps you need to rethink some of the things that you have said previously. Like was stated, we are all passionate about these animals and sometimes things get blown out of context.

what is there to rethink? I came in and asked questions, isn't that what the site is about?

I think the issue is that it's hard to read a persons intent via text. For example, when you said "Scram!" to iCandi, I took it as a playful banter because of his youtube comment (similar to "Oh, stop it you! haha!"). Others felt it was less playful, and more a real comment telling him to get off your topic, IE (Seriously. Stop it. Go away.) etc. How was it meant to be taken? Only you can answer that.
When I joined, I asked a question that had been asked probably a thousand times. I didn't use the search feature, and someone commented "Try using the search feature, it works wonders" Now, that to me is similar to iCandi's youtube response. It is a bit..what's the phrase...snub nosed...or a slight bit condescending. Now, I don't believe that most of the people that make these comments are usually that way, some of them probably just tire of answering the same questions over and over, or assume the worst when people ask to see feeding videos in your case (Assuming the worst being, you enjoy watching the rodents suffer, which I know you stated you do not, and it was just fascinating)
So much is lost in the age of text to text communication. Implying meaning, suggestive context or enunciation of a word or phrase etc.. I also believe that people lose the sense of speaking with another human when it's via the internet or text. It doesn't seem like you're actually talking to another person behind that monitor, and most people are more likely to insert little comments in text that are a bit brasher, than they would be to say it out loud in a face to face conversation. (Like you adding in that little snippet of "Get out of the house and breath people. Thanks" That's a jab, and you see it all day long on forums, this one not excluded. Those are the little comments that you think in your head when someone tick's you off in person, or you're having a bad day, but you wouldn't actually say it out loud to the person. Common courtesy is lost on the internet sadly.
Just as a heads up, and I'm not trying to be all knowing or anything like that, so please don't take it like that. This is all just my opinion, but this is probably the nicest forum I've found. I've been on quite a few others, and I was down right scared to ask newbie questions when I saw them lacing into people on other threads. Anyways, yes, it sucks that you got neg rep / infractions / PO'd or On or whatever..but it's not the end of the world. It's just a reputation on a forum, and it doesn't mean everyone is going to shun you now. Try not to get too worked up over it, it's not worth it. Take it with a grain of salt, and move on. And next time you want to make a brash comment, or a funny sarcastic remark, think and reread your comment and make sure it is going to be taken the way you want it to. (As in, I'm POd and I want to make a brash comment! Or, haha sarcasm, let me use italics, or a little smiley, or whatever, so people realize I'm just kidding!).
Side note...I ramble too much. Sorry

Re: Why are people so SENSITIVE on this forum?
I plain just don't like anyone whose name starts with M and ends with rBrute...
Also, don't be a baby! Posting a thread about everyone being so sensitive because of how you were mistreated in your thread(s) or whatever is a gigantic steaming pile of irony... or hypocrisy? Skittles… Poop... 0_0
Maybe you should take your infractions less seriously mr SENSITIVE. Need a tissue? Want a lolly?
Uhhh, what else can I try and instigate you with... YOU HAVE INFERIOR REPTILE HUSBANDRY SKILLS THAT I KNOW NOTHING OF BUT CHOOSE TO COMMENT ON ANYWAYS IN ORDER TO GET A RISE OUT OF YOU BECAUSE I HAVE FUN DOING SO LIKE TYPING GIANT RUN ON SENTENCES AND SUCH YEAH TAKE THAT...

I have spent most of my day today commenting on threads with much less than serious responses... cause guess what... I dun care who r sensitive...

It seems from most of your posts/threads that you are just looking for an argument.
