We started breeding the multimammate (aka African Soft Fur Rats) after a few prolonged hunger strikes with a few of our ball pythons. Sure enough these guys got them eating again and we were successful getting most back to rats. Only a couple still eating ASF now. However the ASF breeding project is at full speed and we are producing far more than we need.
It would be great to find locals in need of ASFs who would exchange for rats or buy direct.
I only know of a couple sources for these in the area.
$3-$4 each (negotiable based on quantity needed) which is at least a couple dollars less than the going retail price. Willing to deliver close by or meet up.
These are high quality and well fed (Zeigler diet) raised indoors and handled directly. In no way am I suggesting tame, best breeder male is named Jaws... but so far, no bites from offspring
