I "rescued" two 8 year old ball pythons from my girlfriend's co-worker. She told me she just "didn't have time to take care of them anymore" and they hadn't been fed in months or had any cleaning done to their cage. Major neglect has occurred with these poor animals. They have been cramped together in the same tank for 8 years. I fed them two days ago a small f/t rat (which I was told they wouldn't take f/t) and gave them each a through look over, I discovered multiple rust colored spots and pieces of scale missing all up and down the belly of the thinner one (Tiny Tina) but the larger one (Moxxie) appears to be just fine. Can anyone tell me what this is and what I should do besides go to the vet and get them in separate enclosures? I can't get them in separate tanks till payday. But any advice/words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks!
