When we moved at the beginning of the month, my boyfriend took our BCI with him, since my parents didn't want a large snake in the house. The problem is his room is in the basement, and while it stays warm it's still a tad too cool in her tank (it sits ~75 cool side and ~84 hotspot). It has a UTH, and we use a heat lamp to raise the temperature, but since it's a 150 watt bulb his parents don't want it on all the time, and when you turn it off the temperature drops again. I want to get it to 77-78 overall and 87-88 hotspot (since she likes it a bit cooler). Is there something that would be better to use to keep the temperature correct throughout the whole tank, like heat tape or radiant heat panels, and that would be lower wattage than the bulb? Her tank is 6Lx2Wx3H and made of wood (I can't remember what wood we used, it was a moisture-resistant one, and it's been treated too)
