Jax (my lesser boy) only eats live rats which is very inconvenient for me since almost all my others eat frozen/thawed. so I just went to the reptile store to pick up feeders for him and Callie (cornsnake who only eats live pinky mice). Well...I came back home with a pinky mouse, peach fuzzy rat, and a weanling rat. Jax is big enough to eat a weanling rat, but he hasn't wanted to strike and coil them...only the small ones (refer to this thread: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...eding-Question ). I've tried to get him to eat weanling rats two other times. So I bought him a peach fuzzy rat just to tide him over in case he wouldn't eat the other one. Well...I weighed him and placed the rat in his tub. I forgot to weigh the rat, so I opened his tub to grab the rat so I could weigh it and the little turd struck and coiled right before I grabbed the rat. He proceeded to DOWN the rat. AND...on top of that...Charlotte (my mouser ball python) just ate the pinky/fuzzy rat that I put in just for kicks and giggles (she's NEVER eaten a rat for me). so if she continues to eat rats...ALL the mice that I have in my freezer that I bought FOR HER at Repticon last weekend (because they are too big for my corns) are useless....
WHY MUST THEY BE SO DIFFICULT?!?!?!?!
