    soaking Ball

This is a new one for us.. We just had a good shed about 2 weeks ago and today I see she is sitting in her water bowl. She has a slight cloudiness to her eyes. The cage is 80 ambient with 51% humidity. I wouldn't think it woulld be mites, we only have her and have not changed anything in weeks.. I did go to Cypress Mulch, well over 2 weeks ago, maybe 3 weeks. We just fed her last night, she ate great!
Is this just her New thing or what?

While BP rarely soak when they do it's always best to go by elimination

Here are the reasons why BP soak

    • Mites
    • Too hot
    • In shed
    • Too big of a meal
    • Lack of security
    • Pre-lay soak (gravid adult females)

Ahh.. We did feed her a little heavy last night. We have too many fuzzy mice so we fed her 3 that were about 7g a piece and a smaller one say maybe 5g.. Just guessing on those weights.. Avalon weighs 118g last we checked about week ago. so her meal was basically 26g give or take a gram..

Also, I'm not sure how we could get mites. We just have the one snake and setup.. Her bedding is store bought cypress Mulch.. Forrest Floor or whatever.

She shed two weeks ago, but her eyes do look a little cloudy.. She didn't soak in her bowl like this during her last shed

I misted her tank to raise the humidity, even though it wasn't all that low.. She's back in her hide now... Guess now's the time to put in her larger water dish, she can't get all the way in this smaller one.
I guess if she is gonna shed again we need her humidity to be higher for this week anyways
