First snakes, Monty and Ember, were named on a whim. Ember seemed fitting because she's such a bight blushy pastel, and Monty... well, Monty the python Happened to be watching the Holy Grail recently when I got him. Not the most original but I love him

Nova, my fire, was also sort of on a whim. I liked how it sounded and for fire combos it seemed like it would work

Stevie and Ray, my eyeless additions, are for Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles (though Stevie is a female, I don't think she really cares)

Re: What did you NAME YOUR BP AND WHY?

I know you wanted just BPs...but I'll include my cornsnakes as well because some of them have some interesting/nerdy stories behind them.

    Starting off with my BPs:
Fluffy (normal) - I acutally rescued her. There was a girl who stopped her neighbor from letting her go in the front yard. That girl then gave her to me because she didn't like snakes, but she didn't want it thrown outside in the summer heat to die. When she gave her to me, she asked if I could keep her name Fluffy and I said I would. Now, I wouldn't even dream of naming her anything else.

Charlotte (spider) - Everyone needs a spider ball python named Charlotte from the movie Charlotte's Web.

Jax (lesser) - no reason. It just popped into my head on the way home from the ETHS Expo

    And now for the cornsnakes:
Severus (snow motley) - Everyone needs a 'Severus Snake' Sadly, my Severus turned into a girl one day....

Anuna (bloodred) - I write on RPGs (don't ask) and one of my friend's characters is named Anuna.

Travis - I bought him from Travis Whisler and labeled his cup "Travis" so I could remember who I purchased him from. While I was talking to Sam from BHB at the NARBC in Arlington, she asked if I had named him Travis. Since then...it stuck.

Callie - She's a Miami Corn and my buddy is a HUGE fan of CSI: Miami so he asked me to name the snake Calleigh (not sure of the original spelling) after the hot actress. So, I obliged and changed the spelling.

FNU - I bought her in August at the NARBC and never really named her. So, I've been calling her FNU (pronounced fa-nuu) which stands for "First Name Unknown"

    Snakes:
Tsunami - has a cresting wave shape in his pattern
Dotty - has a lone black dot (1/4'' diameter) in the middle of her neck just behind her head.
Rio - brazilian rainbow boa, seemed appropriate
Raul - brazilian rainbow boa, seemed appropriate
Kitty - coastal carpet python, sounded funny
Tesla - DJJ sibling carpet python, because she's ELECTRIC!
Lemonpepper ("Lemmy" for short) - DJJ sibling carpet python, Got some great yellows and blacks, with tipping
Six Shooter - Western hognose, going with "western film" themes, and she has a 6-dot pattern just behind her head
Sitting bull - albino western hognose, again going with "western film" themes
Sweetheart - red blood python, she gave me a "snake kiss" on our first meeting.. lol

    Crested geckos:
Sandy - yellow and sand colored
Dr. Zoidberg - red, and I like futurama references
Peanut - just a nice, brown crested gecko, plus she was cute and petite when I got her
    Pongo - Dalmation
RG - short for both "radioactive gecko" and "red gecko", because I was uninspired
Accident - because I ended up taking the wrong gecko home through a series of mistakes on both parties, and ended up buying him too

    Other:
Skittles - Blue bar ambilobe Panther chameleon, name should be self-explanatory
Morbo - Ornate horned frog, again a futurama reference
Pazuzu - gargoyle gecko, again a futurama reference
    Sallie - tiger salamander
    Callie - female cat, calico
Tux - male cat, black and white tuxedo

My only BP was named Volvagia, a Boss in Ocarina of Time (Legend of Zelda)

However, (if you want/can see my old thread asking for votes on names) I'm a big Greek/Roman/Nordic Mythology freak as well, and I'm slightly ashamed to admit that some of the names I was planning for my next baby, reptiliachnids has already used them.

Vegas - She's a lesser with really high contrast yellow, so it reminded me of big city lights.
Autumn - Bumblebee we bought a few days after autumn began.
Drako - Spider, one of my boyfriend's favorites. I love Harry Potter and Dragonheart (I think that's what it's called) was one of his favorite movies when he was a kid. Just changed up the spelling.
Java - Pinstripe, her color reminded me of coffee.
Saber - There was a horse at one of my old barns named Saber, and he was always one of my favorites, so I stole his name.
Loka - Spider, and the pattern on her head looks like Marvel's Loki with his helmet with the spikes coming out of it. Just put an 'A' at the end to make it more feminine.
Indi - Just like the name
Flair - Mojave girl that's really high contrast. She has flair
Bayne - Our big cinny boy. Named after Bane from Batman because he's also a big beastly thing.
Ekko - Just liked the name
Tex - Our pastave, and mojo's just remind me of the desert, which reminds me of Texas.
Raja - Not a ball, she's my BCI/Red tail boa. Rojo means red in spanish, so I just switched the O's to A's to make it feminine. Although I do pronounce it like raw-ja, not raw-ha. Dropped the spanish there haha.
