Hiding under the paper towels?
I'm not sure it's exactly a problem, but does anyone have their ball hide under the paper towels? I have two that do it right now. And I'm not really sure why. Temps and humidity are spot on at 57% and temps in the 96-98 range.

Only one of mine does this. Even if I offer a hide, she still hides under the newspaper. Haha

Yep. I use packing paper instead of aspen in my breeding tubs, and I just assume they'll hide under it. But I also use paper in my tanks, and some of the adults will reject their hides and disappear straight under the paper. I've started folding it so they have easy ways in.
The babies & juveniles still prefer hides.

Yes, they both have RBI hides. They still come up and cruise and what not, but I was just wondering if that was a bad sign.
I'm thinking about rearranging the tubs, maybe they'll favorite the hides then.

I didn't even notice that!

I'll try that, then. I'll note that's the thermometer reading under the hide, but I know that to be too hot as well.

Yup, a bit too hot for them. However, the mojave I used to have always hid under his paper towels, under the RBI hide. Guess he needed extra security.

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.
