    Could it be????

So many of you may remember my yammering on about that snake I took to the vet.... Well ever since she's been given her antibiotic, she's been soaking... It's oral baytril. My q is this, does baytril have side effects? No she doesn't have mites, I have been spritzing her tub 2 to 3 times a day to help her with her next shed. Could it be that their are side effects? I go back to the vet tomorrow for a check-up... If she soaks too much, will her scales get messed up? I am taking her water bowl out for 3 hours so that she doesn't over soak... Idk, any insight? Should I leave the bowl in and let her do what she wants?

The only side effect to my knowledge is that Baytril will cause scale necrosis damage. But thats only if injected by sub q or intramuscular. Not oral.

What is your snake being treated for?

Well it's on a forum called random holes in snake head... That's basically it, it got cut by bedding. The med is helping, but it's making her soak a ton. She is about to go into shed, but I spritz like I said 2-3 times a day right now.

What do you have her on? If she's on paper towel, there'd be obvious signs of mites.

Some bps like to soak. I personally wouldn't worry about it :/

She is on paper towels. I only brought this up cuz shes not really a soaker. It's only been since she started this baytril. So you guys think it's ok for me to give her her water bowl back?
