    Alright, here's one for ya.......
Just fed my bp. I killed the rat and he took it, but managed to drive the teeth on the rat's lower jaw through his skin during constriction! The rat's mouth was open and when constriction started, the top half of the jaw was on top, bottom jaw where belly scales meet patterned scales. As I'm watching, amusement turns to horror as those bottom teeth poke through. He JUST shed, so his skins a bit.......baggy? And well, I figure this has got to be a one in a million occurance! EVER hear of this happening? I'll kill the rats, but I'm not going to start yanking teeth out pryor to feed!
So, what's the best stuff to use to clean a small bite? Or more accurately put, a lancing?
Asking for a favor with some quick responses as I want to take care of this pronto!

    rat bite....sort of

A little dab of neosporin should do him just fine.

Yes, that's a very weird story! I guess we can't protect them from EVERY single remote chance of injury.

Well, just checked him out after he got the whole rat down and the wound is pretty small. Tiny bit of blood under a belly scale. Can't really get at the wound as the scale seals it up. So I rubbed a small dab of triple antibiotic ointment on the scale back and forth to at least TRY to get some in the actual area without pulling up a scale and doing damage. Looks fine, just erks me as I'm sure you all can dig.
The ointment should help, and he did bleed-just a small amount-so the wound should be fairly flushed.
I'll just have to monitor it.
