Mite/Soaking Issue
Sorry this will be long, I've been on this forum for a few months but this is my first post
I have a year old male boa, Nox, that I got 2 months ago.

He's in a glass enclosure, aspen bedding, temps:
Ambient 81
Basking 91
Humidity ~55%
I had a terra cotta dish for water (seen in the pic, I have since switched to a simple tupperware container), but because it was clay, a bit of water always leaked onto the bedding beneath it. It was very hard to maintain a clean environment around that area, though everywhere else in the tank was never a problem. I think that the spot that was always slightly damp around the water dish, along with me bumping up the humidity to 65-70% since he was going into a shed, was what led to mites. I followed procedure: gave him a bath in betadine water, set him up in a tub with paper towels, and completely emptied and sanitized his tank and all of its contents (water bowls, hides, logs etc.)
However, my mistake was not following this forum's advice on using PAM. (It's on order now) I chose to try Hypoaspis predator mites. I thought they did their job. Nox was mite-free for 2 weeks in his tub. I should also mention that he had a perfect shed 3 days after moving to his tub enclosure. I put him back in his glass (supposedly mite-free) tank last week. He ate fine these past 2 weeks since his shed. But yesterday, he was in his new tupperware water bowl again like he was during the mite/shed episode. Inspected him, and he does have mites AGAIN. AGAIN I've bathed him and put him in his quarantine tub, will clean the large tank tomorrow. Once the PAM arrives, I'll follow forum protocol for applying it.
What I'm worried about now is his eyes are opaque since I came home from work yesterday and I guess he had been in his water dish all day. What should I look out for in terms of ill effects of too much soaking? I have taken out his dish so he no longer has free access to soak, but I'll set it in there twice a day so he has the opportunity to drink. I don't see any evidence of scale rot that I know of, but what should I be looking for?
Again, sorry for the long post, but didn't want to leave out any possibly vital information.
