Bp that acts like a boa?

Hey folks.

I have a 3 year old bp that is around 1400 grams in weight and 4'1" long. The temps have not changed in the 3 years I have had him. All things are perfect.

For the last year he acts like a boa(from what I have read). He loves to be out and trying to get him back into his cage can be a dance to say the least. When I put him back in, he wants out. I think he wants to be out all the time. I usually take him out for atleast an hour a day, yet that never seems to be enough.

He eats great and has no health concerns.

I have been on this site for a couple of years now and everyone says that a happy bp is a hiding bp. Jack is the ecxact opposite.

Any others that have a bp that is like this? I think he is very happy, but just wants to be out and about. He will sit around my neck all day if I let him lol.

Dont get me wrong. I love it, but am just a little worried because it is not what is considered as normal.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

My biggest female is very inquisitive, hard to put back in her tub, and likes to explore when I take her out and be in your face. But she does stay hidden for most of the day and I never see her roaming. I say if your BP is eating, healthy, and not roaming his tank/tub constantly then he's fine.

I would bet she has gotten big enough that she is more secure and feels that she is the top predator around and does not feel the need to hide as often. As mine has grown she has become less shy and very rarely balls anymore. With more size comes more confidence.

My adult blood never wants to go back in her home and she is a powerhouse that tries to throw her weight around. It can be a challenge.

My albino male is the exact same. never hides and just wants to come hang out and no matter how long he's out it's hard to get him back in. they all have different personalities i have a few that never come out and some that are out almost always so i wouldn't worry.
