I know how addicts feel now...

I am starting to look around the house at things I can sell to get money to buy more morphs. The upkeep is no problem, it's just the initial drop of cash. And yes we have emergency funds for vets/medical etc, but it wouldn't be emergency funds if I dipped into it every time I wanted something I'm so obsessed right now with these 2 hatchlings from a local breeder. UGGGHHH...must make $700...Must sell motorcycle...old furniture...must must must...Man... I feel like a you know what addict. LOL

Sorry for the pointless post...Just needed to vent to people who might share my issues

On an unrelated note...We get to pick up our new Mojave boy Monday! *Squeeeee*

    Haha, welcome to the club!

I have a method to my madness now, any OT that goes in at work or any freelance cash I get over a certain amount goes back in to the hobby. This past year was mainly supplies, racks and renos for the reptile rooms. Now I'm itching to pull the trigger on some new additons.

Lots of snakes, a bunch of horses and an array of other animals small and large!

I feel the same way, LOL. I've been searching lately for stuff to sell so that I can get more supplies for my Scaleys and for new additions. Not having much luck on finding stuff to pawn away though.

My "habit" isn't just snakes...... my boyfriend keeps telling me "no more species!" and then I go and buy something anyway. He tells me I spend his money before he's even got it in his bank account LOL. My collection is nowhere near the amount of a lot of people. They all fit in my bedroom. Right now I'm bound to a rule "tanks will not overflow into other parts of the house!" hehe

Well i think people kinda look at it negatively sometimes when the word addiction is used. I mean yes, i sure am addicted to snakes/the herp world in general, but it isnt really a bad thing. I love my snakes but they can also be seen as an investment too. Which is something alot of people who arent into herps dont see. Its not like drugs/booze/cigarettes will ever be able to pay you back like a ball python could. Unless you consider liver failure or lung cancer getting paid back lmao...

Trust me I understand. Years ago my son convinced me to let him buy two normal ball pythons from a friend. He told me they are great pets. Now we have over a hundred snakes. I am truly addicted!
