I currently have my baby ball python in a 10gal terrarium with a UTH hooked up to a hydrofarm thermostat. The weather is getting chillier here in Toronto and I'm looking into ambient heating sources for the winter.
So far I have decided on purchasing a ceramic heat emitter along with a ceramic dome fixture and a lamp stand. I was wondering what the correct wattage would be for a 10gal tank. I am planning on adjusting the height of the lamp stand so that I can leave the CHE on 24/7 at the optimal temps, if necessary, I have a lamp dimmer just in case.

Have I chosen a good heating method for the winter or is there a better (although similarly priced) alternative?
