    Moving Mostly Done

Everything is in the house now except the cold-blooded folks and some non-essential items. We spent our first night there on Saturday. It's amazing how quiet it is. No noisy neighbors. No people taking showers at 1am. I forgot how awesome it was to have a water hose!

One minor annoyance. A small woman used t olive there. So the master toilet is really really small. Too small for my big butt. So until we can replace it I'll be using the bathroom in the hallway.

I plan to move over 1 or 2 racks a day so hopefully all will be over by the weekend.

Congratulations. I HATE moving. My last move, I looked around and told my wife "yup, this is where I'm gonna die."

Got the babies, my boa, and my lizard over tonight. Just in time too. Clutch 06 started to hatch today.

Tomorrow's goal is to get all the adults over.

Well, all the snakes are over now. The whole process took 3 hours. We took them all out of the racks and into various containers for travel. Then we cleaned the tubs and racks and sprayed for bugs. That was the longest part. Then into the vehicles and everything in reverse. However, despite our effort, we had some stowaways that survived our onslaught. So I may have to break down and hire a pro to kill these things for good.

Now there is only an old armoire and a day bed that require the truck. Then all that's left is a ton of little things from a closet and some cupboards.

    Then we have to clean...

Oh I had my first experience taking the trash out to the curb this morning since I lived with my parents. I got so used to just throwing it in the trunk and taking it to the dumpster.

Despite all the work involved, this has been so worth it.
