    Mystics and Mojaves

I'm going to be looking to get a mojave and mystic in the future (ever since I saw a Mystic Potion I have been in love).

My question is, what is the best way to tell a mystic hatching from a mojave? I know they can look very similar.

Its very difficult to tell them apart, some are more obvious than others. A better pairing would be super mojave to mystic because you would know the ones that arent potions are mojaves. Mystics tend to have more golden color and mojaves more of a greenish yellow and mystics sometimes have different belly patterns. But mojaves can show mystic traits vice versa.

I would but a BEL doesn't fit into my budget unless I did some changing to my "wanted" list xD or added more money to my ball budget (but with looking to get a new car it probably won't happen) but know that you have me thinking... How much would a male super mojave be going for? I can't remember seeing any for sale, just crosses (lesser x mojo or other combos)

    Re: Mystics and Mojaves

Thanks for this post. I've been wondering the same thing. But I've considered just getting 1.1 mystics as the prices are dropping fast.

I do have another question now. Would it be possible to make a super mojave/super mystic?

    Re: Mystics and Mojaves

Tried doing a search on super mojaves for you. Closest I came was a post from April of 2011. $1500. I was thinking they're down to about 1000-1200 now. However, at this point, you're not going to see a lot of super mojaves because other versions create a "cleaner" (read: no grey heads) BEL.

My advice, just go to a trusted breeder to get your snake. They've got a reputation to uphold. If they say it's a mystic, then you ought to be able to trust that it's a mystic. Or are you asking for when you hatch them out?

PS - Good choice on the mystic potions.

I will be careful when choosing a mystic, I was just wondering how to tell them apart because I planed on doing a mojave/mystic breeding in the future and would like to be able to figure out the difference so I don't sell one as the other (imagine how mad you would be if you bought a mystic and it turned out to be a mojave!)

Ive seen male super mojo's for as low as 800 at shows and between 900-1200 on the classifieds. If your going to buy a mystic make sure you buy it from a reputable breeder like others said. As far as the mystic/mojave pairings go for it its the cheapest way to produce an awesome morph!! It may be difficult to tell them apart from eachother when they hatch but worse case you would just hold them back.
