    Pinstripe

Hi guys, starting to feel a bit cheeky asking so many questions when i have so little to offer in return, but i promise i shall share any knowledge i glean from you guys if/when i can and hopefully theres so much traffic here no ones noticed me lol.

Ne how, i have literally zero first hand experience with IDn morphs etc. Thinking of getting this pinstripe tomorrow. what you think of him? is he a good pinstripe or not? Would u consider purchasing? Seller seems really genuine and this snake wasnt advertised he was undecided wether to let it go as it was his breeder then PMd me sayin hed sell (on a UK forum obviously, did i mention im in the UK? lol) he had a few snakes advertised i was interested in, then mentioned the pinstripe saying me may sell once he decided his breeding plans for this year. Just unsure as to whether this is a ploy to make me tink hes a better snake than he is if you know what i mean? He is priced at roughly double the price of a pastel(maybe less im a noob remember so guessing pastels value,) and almost 3 times the price of a yellow belly the same seller has advertised! any in put appreciated!!

obviously theres 2 snakes in each pic!! 2nd one shows head better

Looks like a decent Pinstripe, I'd probably consider hi if I was in the market for a Pin.

I'm not sure on pricing in the UK, but here in the US a Male Pinstripe hatchling will go for about $125-$150 while an adult male will go for around $350

From the two pictures, he looks like a nice pin. He has a nice clean side. Personally, I like pins that have an unbroken dorsal stripe. I can't really tell in the pictures provided.
If I didn't already have one, I may consider him.
And Pins are more expensive than pastels and YBs.

I have a pinstripe and love him. I don't know what the going rate is in the UK for anything, I know yall tend to be a little higher than us across the pond. What other snakes are you interested in? If he is the only breeder then you know that for sure you can plug him into a normal and make some pins this season and get your money back instead of having to wait for a hatchling to grow up. Maybe take a quick look around at other ads and if he seems like to one for you then get them.

Thanks a lot buddy, i think our prices are the same roughly but obviously the dollar is worth less than the pound so im paying more if u get me? Although from what i can tell, the price difference between hatchling males and adults is more like 50% in the UK than double like you say. probably me just getting confused tho :S

this is copied from a previous post of mine which will explain:

ey guys my plan was to start buying some snakes over the coming year in anticipation to begin breeding next year, however i now have 3 female normals (was originally buying 2 but seller was let down by another buyer so i had the 3 ) 1 is proven, at 2kg, 2 are unproven. I got these off a reptile vet whos moving abroad so as you can imagine these girls have been well brought up (at least i hope lol). So i thought id get a male sharpish and try and go this year. And then i decided on spending the money i have instead of on one double/multi gene male, on two males 2 improve my chances of getting some eggs as that is my sole aim this year(just hatch a clutch, ANY clutch). I dont have any snake keeping friends in the real world so to speak so no one to turn to when i run into inevitable problems! So really want experience hands on! Ive never even seen a snake egg lol
Ive bought 1 male cinnamon who was pretty cheap, hes 1.1kg and the owner hadnt had him long and as far as he knows he hasnt bred before(or tried). So i was hoping to get another proven male, as im thinking this would be better.

Now the cinnys a great looking snake, who seems healthy, But he was being kept as a pet by someone who knew less than he should. he only had 1 hide, in rub with heat mat, in his living room which wasnt heated to anywhere near 80f in the middle of the day. Plus it was a council house(i dunno how to explain this to u guys, but u know like government provided social housing which are old/poorly built insulated etc. ??) so he was prob getting a lttle cold at night to say the least, plus his hot end was only 80f so, yeah, he may not be in the best condition (although i dont think theres anything at all wrong with him) and im assured he feeds every 10 days (dont they all). The guy hadnt had him long and wanted rid cos he does have a bit of an attitude, hissy etc. so he could well be genuine and as the snake looks good im hoping the owner before him was doing a better job!!

    [IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

As i got the cinny cheap i can now afford the pinstripe. The guy seems really genuine, making sure im clued up before he will sell to me etc. and i will obviously get to see how hes keeping his snakes. I really want something thats been properly cared for so is in tip top condition for breeding this year. This guy is successfully breeding(he has feedback for sales on the UK forum, all positive and is advertising loadsa hatchlings). so yeah i think this is the one as its a gene i like the potential of also!!
