    Temperament and maturation

I know all I keep posting is questions. Hopefully, in time, I'll have at least something worthwhile to contribute!

My question: How much can one expect a BP's temperament/behavior to change, as he matures? Right now, my little 77g mojave guy is the most mellow, confident snake I've handled. I've only had him since the 9th and, after the first week of having him, I've handled him a couple times a day. I either let him "climb" around my hands while I watch TV or let him hang out on my bed, letting him explore and handle him during that time too.

I'm a very hands-on pet owner and hope that he remains this tame as he gets older. I know that some snarky, fearful snakes mellow out, over time and with less stress, adequate feeding and environmental factors. I just hope that the opposite doesn't happen, resulting in a more temperamental personality.

Is he too young to predict his personality as he gets older?

Snakes generally get calmer as they get older because they get larger. A hatchling BP is pretty low on the food chain so they tend to be jumpy. With size comes confidence so most will calm down. I've never heard of a BP getting more aggressive with age, but anything is possible.
