need help w/ mites on Hogg Island boa

My Hogg Island is about 8 years old and has never had mites. He has now had them for a few weeks and I need help. I've tried "Mite Off" a lot, but they seem to keep coming back. I've seen other forums saying to oil him down for a little while or use "Rid" to clean out the tank. I need to know what is safe and will work. Any help?

What you need is PAM (not the cooking spray) Prevent a Mite. This is the best stuff, but is a little on the dangerous side.

Remove everything from the cage and clean it really well. Then set the cage up using paper towels as substrate and put as little as possible back in. The more you put in the ore places the mites will have to hide.

    Shoot for something like this:

Soak your snake 2 times daily in warm water (water temperature in the mid 80's, remember what feels warm to you will feel hot to a cold blooded snake) with a drop of dawn dish soap.

When your PAM arrives follow the directions EXACTLY. PAM is more than capable of killing your snake if used improperly. It is unfortunate that you have to resort to using chemicals this strong but it really works better than anything on the market.
