Found a good deal on a big vision cage. I think it is the largest cage they make, the #734 model.
I have heard problems of them sagging, and the humidity being too low, and being hard to heat.
It will be the display cage for my BCI.

My questions...

- Could I place a big piece of wood or pipe from top to bottom, in the center, and screw it in through the bottom of the cage and the top of the cage, to keep the top from sagging? and doubling as a "tree" for display purposes.
And could I put blocks of 2"x4" (or however high the gap is between the bottom of the cage and the stand its sitting on) boards laying down flat directly under the cage (between the cage and the stand) to make it so it can't sag on the bottom?
- For humidity, the ventilation is a cut out screened rectangle along the back of the cage, correct? Could I just tape cling wrap over half (or more, or less) of the rectangle to hold in the humidity?
- Will a UTH or flex watt taped underneath the cage heat through the plastic well enough? That is definitely my preferred heating method. What temperature would it have to be set at to make a 90* hot spot?

Thanks guys!
