so i was just bit on my eye by my ball python... any advice?

ok so i was laying on my floor following my 3ft ball python around the house, and she kept trying to sneak under stuff, well i guess she finaly got mad at me for blocking her everytime she tried to go under something, so she turned around, slithered towards me and pressed against my face so i closed my eyes, and then WHAM! she bites into my eye, her bottom fangs biting in to my upper cheek just bellow my left eye and her top fangs penetrated my eyelid, and caused some bruising to my eye, without penetrating it, eventualy my roomate was able to slowly pry her off my eye, it bleed a little, and stoped, now there is bruising and soreness which im guessing is to be expected, but all the things i find online about these bites say to clean them with peroxide, but its my eye and i cant use peroxide on my eye, what should i do,? i will post a photo momentarily

Use the peroxide on your cheek and eye lid where you were bit. If you were bit on the eyeball itself, go see an ophthalmologist.

I wouldn't be too worried, If you suspect that the bite is getting infected just go in to your doctor to get some antibiotics to clear it up. You might be able to apply a very very small amount of Neosporin to your eyelid, but I wouldn't even do that personally.

Just saw the pic. Here is a better link:

Looks like you will live to me. It didn't seem to touch the cornea or any important part of the eye. I'd still use some peroxide to clean the skin around the eye lid and cheek.

Also Ball pythons do not have any venom, or fangs... only regular teeth.

Re: so i was just bit on my eye by my ball python... any advice?

well they do have some venom, but its got next to no effect on humans, for about 3 minutes my vision turned to static all over, and i broke out in a heavy sweat, i got extremely light headed, and all in all it was a good trip, but no it wasnt nothing as far as venom goes, and i am guessing the only reason i felt anything was the proximity to my brain, the eye was slightly scraped. so its bruised some, and i did wat u said about the peroxide, when u guys said it for some reason i realized, that i could use a little on a cotton ball, normaly with peroxide i just pour it on the wound, so i did that cotton ball thing, and thank you all for your quick replys

yea i meant its starting her mating season, technicaly its my roomates python, i dont know as much about her, but i have been trying to learn

so what you are saying is i can get a good trip by getting bit by my snake?.

i don't believe bp's have any venom. what you might of experience was adrenaline from getting an unexpected bite from your snake.
