Well this morning Ozzy and my son and I are off to the Vet. I was gonna take him a while back but it was so dang cold and he seemed pretty healthy but I do want to check him out and make sure it's all good.
Little devil usually poo's pretty regular but hey not this time :0

I will let you know how it goes

And thanks Marla for the web site info you gave me on finding a Vet!
I think he may be a good one from all the comments I read, will see.
His name is Dr Stahl in Vienna, Va

How often do bp's usually pee???
Seems Ozzy does about one a week usually right after a handling session.

Dr. Stahl is a good name in reptile veterinary medicine. I've been thinking about going out to see him with my critters. How far is it to Vienna? How much does he charge for the visit?

My guy goes number one a couple of days after he chomps down his mouse.

Good luck, Jotay! I hope he's healthy and parasite-free. And you're welcome for the link -- it's definitely the first place I'd check for a vet for these guys. I hope the vet is friendly and knowledgeable. Let us know how it goes.

Well we are back and all is well. He weighs 243grams and the Vet said he was one healthy good looking bp that he hadnt seen one in this good of shape in a while.( I couldn't have done it with out all the help and knowledge I got from the great people on this site) He then asked if he could take pictures of Ozzy for him to use when he does his lectures, so Ozzy posed for him in his finest bp ball stance.
judy I didnt see Dr Stahl I saw his assoc Dr Crum who was awesome! The whole place is great and I highly recommend it. It is right in downtown Vienna off Maple ave ( 123) on Center st you take rt 66 get off on Nutley and make a right on maple and its a few blocks up. Exam is 75.00
I also found out Dr Stahl breeds bp's and green tree pythons so I found out where I will get my next bp ( I think it will be a high gold I just love them)
I was so glad he is doing good. A load off my mind.

That's awesome to hear, Jotay!! I really need to get both my guys in to see the vet...and to see such a reputable one before we move would be the wisest thing to do!

And congrats on having such a healthy bp! You should be proud of yourself!

    You Guessed It.....(part 2)

Wow, Jotay, that's great news! And that's a good healthy size for a little guy, too, heavier than any of my current BP's. It's interesting that Ozzy should get to pose for the pics when Dr Stahl breeds BPs, but maybe he just turns them around too quickly for them to get up to a good size for posing?

The Dr comment that bp's now a days he see's less and less that ball up and to the extint that Ozzy does, he does ball up tight and loves to just stick his head out and flick his tongue.
yeah I figured he had to have some beauties why a pic of my little guy but maybe your right and he turns them over quickly.

I don't think Ozzy was to thrilled with the whole trip, he just came out of his warm hide this morning, just what I need a sensitive bp

I never knew an animal that looked forward to going to the vet. It just seems mammals forget more quickly.
