Tell her it's her natural prey....

Well, my bee finally refused something. It's been along time since she has had an asf, (usually the smaller guys gobble those up) like probably a year. Well, I had tons of asf's, and figured I would get rid of some of those. She wasn't to sure about it, finally killed it. Crawled over it for awhile, finally started to bite onto the head. I come back to check and head is wet, and there it lays. And she is looking at me like she's famished. Mind you, she just ate last week she doesn't skip any meals. I remove the asf, all the while she is eyeballing me like I may be dinner. So I go get her a rat, WHAM!! That suckers toast. Dead and going down the hatch in record time. Goofy snake. So no, asf's aren't "bp crack". I think she would be perfectly happy if she never saw another one again. :p

Ball pythons feeding habits change. You can never expect them to eat anything you put in front of them

    They are picky little guys

My husband started raising ASF's to supplement our food bills. Fully half of our snakes will run away if you put an ASF in the tub, then refuse to eat that week because you insulted them by offering one.

That's funny! I'm almost wondering if the asf's are worth it. My butter won't eat them either. Might be done with them, and just stick with the ratties.
