    Couple questions.

So the first questionI have is about shedding. My snake Slytherin just had his first shed under my care and I was noticed he'd shed successfully on his body, but on his head there is still some stubborn skin there. Is that normal? I've had the humitdy up around 75% or higher so I know I'm good there.

And another thing. I just fed him his second live mouse, and it seems this one had a little more fight than the last one. It clawed or bit him, one of the two.
It isn't bad or anything...I just want to know what I should be watching for. Will It heal ok on its own?

Being a first time owner of a BP, I have a lot of concerns. So I need to know if I'm just worrying to much.

As for the shed, it is OK to have some left on the head, but there is a sticky at the top of the forum that will answer how to remove stuck sheds.

As for the feeding question, if you are feeding two mice at a feeding, it may be time to step up to rats. It should heal on its own if there is no cut, but if there is a cut on the snake, it could require further care.

You probably worrying too much, but we all did with our first!

Stuck shed happens when there is poor humidity. It can be expected occasionally, but if it's consistent I'd consider double checking your husbandry.

As for the live mouse, live rodents WILL fight for their lives. Always supervise feedings, and have a pair of tongs handy. Minor wounds should be able to heal on their own. You can always treat with a betadine/water solution if you're worried about it.

My snake is still pretty small, the guy at reptile specialty store told me from his size he's under a year old. So He's getting one mouse that's as big as the thickest part of his body. I don't know if it's a cut of not I haven't gotten a good look cause he's still over there working his meal down. I'll check it out and see. I just want to make sure he's alwways happy and healthy so I get concered about a lot of things.
