Yes I am feeding her in the bathtub. lol. So far it has worked great. Easy to clean and convenient.

Congrats on her eating! But please feed her in her enclosure. Way less stressful for her, and she will not get cage aggression. That just doesn't happen with bps.

You're also more likely to get bit when feeding in separate enclosures

I feed mine in a different bin without a problem. I also use cypress mulch for bedding. So I just transfer her to a bin to eat. Wham bam thank you ma'am.

Re: First rat ever!
Great job on the feeding! You really can feed her in her enclosure or at least in a another tank or tub. How you choose to feed her though is ultimately up to you, since it is your snake.

Re: First rat ever!
She's been fed all her life in a seperate tub from her own enclosure so I figured it'd be best to keep it at what she knows. I too use aspen for bedding ( i thought she could have had mites when i first got her) she has absolutely no cage aggression and has never bit anyone and has only struck about twice in her entire life (she has yet to strike at me). I do feel more comfortable with this method for now. I do appreciate your input Perhaps when I get her own paper towels I will try feeding her in her own enclosure, or if she starts to show signs of stress or cage aggression.
