Home ultrasound. Would you?
So i have seen the Big breeders use ultrasound imaging before. My question to you is, if it was affordable would you buy one?
I can see many benefits to doing this.
A company by the name of
Mobisante has a smartphone ultrasound.. And frick its cool!!!
7500 bucks isnt as nice but it only hit the market last year and is currently only available to medical professionals.
If this came down to the 500-1000 dollar price range, id be willing to drop some bills, besides herps, personal use would be nice, home sonograms, muscle tears, or whatever.
Soo, thoughts?

I have one and never use it...Not money well spent for me...You have an Ultrasound at the tip of you fingers...Just learn to Palpate.

I don't see the use in it just yet, but time will tell. Might help if your female is egg bound, not sure.

I would definitely get one. I want one. I have tried to learn to palpate, I try every year, and I just can't feel a darned thing, lol.

I use my thumbs to palpate. They're free.

I've often thought I'd buy one but since I have learned to palpate I've lost the desire to spend the money.
If I had hundreds of females breeding it would be an easy call.

I thought my palpating was good until I got an ultrasound. Easy to palpate for me at 20mm or more. I use the ultrasound to see which girls to start breeding. I don't put a male in until the follicles are 10-15 mm.
Hard to palpate those with 10mm vs 6mm.
So at this point I only have 2 girls at 12 and 15mm follicles so I am only putting males in with them at this point.
Seems to allow me to use the boys more efficiently.
