Okay. So. Here's what I have so far:
On my rack (though it holds 8 28qt tubs, only one is occupied right now...) I have a hydrofarm set at 92* (usually keeps the tub anywhere from 89.5-93.5*)
Above my rack (sitting on it), I have two corn snakes with heat lamps (they will be moved into the rack once I fix it so they can't escape anymore because of their small size...it's also a homemade rack)
In my quarantine room, I have 5 tanks/containers with UTH. Two are plugged into a dimmer (two corn snakes) and one into another hydrofarm (BP) set at 92*
On order, I have a herpstat 2 from the bean farm (they weren't processing orders until yesterday and my order hasn't been processed yet...so I'll HOPEFULLY be getting my herpstat next week). Once it comes in, my rack (since I have 2 wired pieces of flexwatt so both my corns and BPs can be on the same rack) will be wired up to the herpstat so I can have two different temps on the tubs (one for corns, one for BPs).
I think what I'll do is move the other hydrofarm into my quarantine room and hook it up to the two UTH on the dimmer (through a power strip) so there will be 2 UTH for the corns on one hydrofarm and one UTH for the BP on another hydrofarm. Is that okay for now?
THEN, once everyone is put in my rack (quarantine will probably end around Thanksgiving), should I use one of the hydrofarm thermostats as a backup for my herpstat? If so, do I simply plug the herpstat into the hydrofarm (set at what?) which will be plugged into the wall? If not, what would you recommend for a backup (the thought of losing an entire collection of 6 going on 8 snakes which I've paid in total over $600 for all 8 snakes is just too much to risk without a backup thermostat) thermostat? I'm not really sure what to set the back up on since I've never used a backup thermostat.
Once I get my first clutch in a year or two, I'll probably get a herpstat 1 to run the incubator with the other hydrofarm thermostat as backup for that as well.
Sorry if this seemed to be a lot of...bibble-babble (I think I've watched too much SnakeBytesTV), I'd be happy to clarify.
