Weird and interesting. I wonder what the outcome will be when the put it into healthy snakes.

maybe it's just my old 'drug user' mind working a conspiracy theory. would the gov't try to introduce these viruses into the reptile world, to help eradicate snakes that they are trying so hard to ban?

again, maybe just my ol'self (like 12 years ago).

I was under the impression that IBD had been prevalent in the hobby for awhile...?
Are they saying they finally just isolated or identified it?

Yeah. There's a whole big thread about this from a week ago.

They don't have a good test for it in living animals. I'm hoping this will result in a more accurate blood test, at the bare minimum.

According to what I have read a couple scientists really started digging into IBD about 7 years ago... There was a thread on here about it. It was a somewhat heated topic. Skiploder has had some experience with IBD personally....

    http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...=Skiploder+IBD

A note about this thread: Skiploder is being sarcastic in the first part and this thread should be read carefully it has a lot of good info in it along with personal experience accounts from some members inculding Skip.

    EDIT: Loonunit beat me
