Snapped some pics today for you guys to see the size comparisons, and the difference in the colors/markings between two that are the same morph and one normal. Shoe was the first thing I could grab to use as a reference, it's a size 11.



Baby Kona. Normal BCI, unknown gender. Hoping for female.




Rocky, male Salmon. About a year and 4 months, by Prehistoric Pet's calculations. This is the one that was shipped to me as a "baby". lol. Love him to death though, very pleasant, just a bit squirmy at times.



And last but not least, the most beautiful of all IMO, Apollo. Just got him, and as you can see in the pic he doesn't stop moving. Fastest boa I've ever seen. Keeping up with him was like trying to catch a wild king snake. Once you have him in your hands though he's a puppy dog.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed the pics. Still need to get some of my BP's but I've taken more interest in the boas lately because I haven't had them long. The ball pythons I've had for 12-13 years, and when I handle them it's usually to sit them in my lap for a movie. They don't move, just chill and watch it with me. Amazes me how different these two breeds are as far as their inquisitiveness. Or it could just be stress. The salmons are still "new" to me, totally different enclosure setups from what they were used too. So I'll let them chill a few more weeks and see if it helps. They eat like champs though!!

aw man, Morehead City... love it there. i grew up in Rocky Mount, we used to go down there all the time. some friends of ours had a house near the beach we would spend the summers. great place to live.

Very nice boas! I like the "baby" lol. I want to get a boa so badly but saving the cage size for a male JCP first. Soon as I get my own house that will be my first reptile purshase.

I say go for it man. They make sterilites big enough for these guys big enough for them to be comfy until you can save up enough for an AP. That's what I'm doing... According to the sales rep, the T13 is the most popular for BCI's. You can order ceramics and have them shipped to them, and they will install it for free. They just don't carry ceramic heating. But they do install heat tape and other forms for heating for a lil extra. Top notch company, honestly. And compared to some of the other cages, whose name I won't mention, the prices are a steal.



only 339, and many options for heating and customization. give the lady at animalplastics.com a call. she's a sweet heart. she told me if i bought 3 i'd get a deal on the freight shipping. so that's my plan, but right now they are all content in their monster sterilites. i commend you for thinking about the future of the snake's well-being first though. most people buy the snake, then worry about what to do for husbandry. kudos.

Yeah that's why I'm holding off on one, my reptile room is starting to fill up pretty quickly and I new to save room for my future harking rack and Juv rack when I start breeding bps. But there is something about the sunglows that make me want one even more when I see them at reptile shows
