Male Fasting, Question About Breeding Season

    Hey guys!

So I have a question... My normal male, ~2 yrs old, is fasting again. He stopped eating at the end of July. I'm really not that concerned because he did this at exactly the same time last year until November. But my question is, when exactly does breeding season start and could that be why he fasts around this time of year?

I always assumed he would continue to eat until around winter time, but obviously not. I thought he might be sick last year, but he's been to the vet and the vet claims he's physically in good shape despite his small size. (He only weighs around ~800g...he's a mouser. )

Any insight would be appreciated. My new little mojo is still eating like a beast.

Idk. I know in the wild their breeding season is usually in the fall. Do you have any breeding sized females he may be smelling?

I did until about a week ago. A friend of mine has her now. Maybe that was it? He always popped his head out of his hide when I had her out, so maybe he could smell her. But she's gone now. I only have the two female boas at the moment and neither of them are anywhere near breeding size.
