    Grandfathers surgery!

Well, I'm coming here today, asking for prayers, my grandfather has to have his left leg amputated up to the knee tomorrow, story is, he broke his ankle a few months ago, and he's so stubborn, he walked around on it and didn't clean it regularly, it got infected, and last night he had a fever of 101 degrees, and there was no pulse in his foot. My mom made him promise to go to the hospital, and stay, well he did and today they decided to amputate it, tomorrow is surgery, and I'm taking off school to go see him before and after surgery. Please pray, thanks guys, and gals.

Hopefully all goes well. I know how stubborn grandparents can be.

Will definitely keep you and your grandfather in my prayers. I have been in a similar situation and it can be quite stressful.

Surgery got rescheduled to Friday, his hemoglobin was low so they had to give him a bag of blood.

Sorry for the bump, just wanted to update anyone who's wondering, the surgery apparently went great, but last night his blood pressure was 219 over 190. So, a little high and then all they are giving him for pain is lortabs, they are weary of giving him anything else other than that due to risk of his breathing possibly stopping. He's now talking out of his head, talking to his deceased parents, and his brother who wasn't there, and then his daughter, who also was not there. His breathing went down 9 also last night, whether or not there's truth to that, I do not know, his girlfriend has a tendency to be over dramatic at times and say things that never happened.

My father lost his leg around a year ago and now he gets around no trouble at all. if u didn't know he had a prostetic leg on you wouldn't be able to tell. the first few months while it heals will be the toughest on him. i think it was 90 days after surgery they can start being fit for the first prostetic and it was all uphill from there.
