How to clean a new tank

Hi all!! I just was given a VERY LARGE tank that has locking side doors from a neighbor. They have absolutely no idea what was in this tank previously so I really want to thoroughly clean it. What is the best way to get this seriously clean and disinfect it? Any input would be great!!! I am really excited about it because my juvenile will have a ton of room and I can get some really fun stuff to put in there for her.

Will you can always use bleach water, but make sure that you air it out until you can't smell bleach anymore before you put anything in it.

I prefer to use safer chemicals like Chlorhexidine or F10. Both are safe to use around animals when diluted to the proper levels

Just be careful, too much open space can actually be a bad thing.

I would use bleach and let it air out for a few days. Give it a good scrub down.

I'd be careful about putting a juvenile in it though. Ball pythons do better in tight spaces.

White vinegar and water will due just fine and completely harmless to the snake
